Why Buy a Bike From Us

When you buy a bike from us, you aren’t just getting a bunch of parts bolted together.

Thorough assembly

We take great pride in our thorough assembly process. Most bikes come to bike shops partially assembled. Some shops are satisfied with just bolting the remaining bits on, checking a few adjustments and selling the bike to you.

We basically disassemble, inspect and grease, (or Loctite, Ti-prep or carbon paste as appropriate), all of the parts on the bikes we sell. In addition, we use special tools, like tensiometers when we true wheels and torque wrenches when we tighten bolts on lightweight components, to ensure that your bike is properly assembled to manufacturer specifications.

Every bike we sell is checked-over twice after initial assembly before you take it home.

Free basic fit

Every time you test ride a bike with us, we will do a quick basic fit. We will adjust saddle height, saddle fore-aft and swap stems as necessary to tune the handlebar position. Once you decide on a bike, we will dial in that fit for you. If you require a more comprehensive fit, we offer Specialized BG Fitting service. Free Check-overs

Over the first year that you own your bike, we include three free check-overs. It is our intent to be sure that your bike is settling in properly and to give you some free service with your new bike. We really want your ride to be great! 

A word of warning. Some bike shops offer “free lifetime check-overs/tune-ups”. We offer free lifetime service with your bike purchase, but we don’t call that service a “tune-up” or “check-over”. We don’t think that checking tire and shock pressure, lubing your chain and quickly wiping a bike off with a rag qualifies as a “tune-up” or “check-over”; that’s just being friendly to a good customer. As we point out, if a shop sold only one bike a day on the average, within a few years, all they would be doing is free tune-ups or check-overs. Our tune-ups and check-overs are time-intensive, guaranteed work that will make you bike work better and last longer. There's a big difference!

We sell bikes for a living, but we chose to sell bikes because we love cycling and want you to love cycling as much as we do. If anything we do does not meet your expectations, please let us know. We will do anything in our power to keep you stoked on riding!

BroBuddy Rebate Program

Our BroBuddy Rebate program is our way of rewarding our valuable customers and showing them our appreciation. The more you shop with us the more you’ll get back.

  1. Get signed up at either our Flagstaff or Sedona store. Purchases at either store count towards your rebate. IT’S FREE!
  2. Spend at least $500 in our stores and start receiving discounts. The more you spend, the more cash you earn back.  
    1. $500 - $999 earns 3% Back
    2. $1,000 - $4,999 earns 4% Back
    3. $5,000+ earns 5% back.

Financing, Layaways and Special Orders


We offer interest-free financing through the Specialized S-Card/Synchrony to qualified buyers. For purchases up to $1000, we offer 6 months, no interest. For purchases over $1000, we offer 12 months, no interest.

The application process is simple and usually takes about 15 minutes. We need two forms of identification, typically a driver’s license and a credit card will work, and some basic financial info. Once the form is completed, we run the info through Synchony’s website and it will let us know if, and for how much, you are approved.

Layaways

We can hold anything aside for you with our layaway program. This can be especially helpful if you want to buy a bike that is available, but need a little time to get the sum together.

Standard Layaway: 30% deposit, 60 days to pay the balance. Cancellation within 7 days, full refund. Cancellation within 8-30 days, 10% re-stock fee. No refunds after 30 days.

Sale Layaway: 50% deposit, 30 days to pay the balance. Cancellation within 3 days, full refund. Cancellation within 7 days, 10% re-stock fee. No refunds after 7 days.

We are happy to work with you on the amount of time needed to pay your balance, and can be negotiable on the amount for the deposit, but since we are removing our opportunity to sell that item to another customer, or potentially re-ordering another of that item to replace the one we are holding for you, we cannot make exceptions on our cancellation policy.

Special Orders and custom builds

Special orders

We stock a ton of stuff, but we can’t always have every item for every customer. We take special orders very seriously!

We never charge extra for any special order item!

Most special orders are in within a week, sometimes even less.We always try to let you know when to expect your special order items, and if for some unforeseen reason the expected arrival date changes, we will call you to keep you informed.

If you are in an exceptional hurry, we are happy to get things shipped alone and/or via expedited freight. We only ask that you cover the shipping on these items.

Custom builds

We are always happy to work with you on your dream bike! We get vicarious pleasure from working with folks on these projects.

We are able to do anything from tweaking component spec on a stock build to fitting and assembling a full custom frame with a mix-and-match component group. Our expertise in fitting and component compatibilities assures that the bike you wind up with will be perfect for you!

Extended Warranties Service Plan

So you just spent a bunch of hard earned money on your dream ride. You intend to own this beauty for years and ride the wheels off of it. So what happens when you do actually ride the wheels off? 

Most manufacturers’ warranties on components end after one year. (Some are a little longer, and some are actually shorter.) Once those warranties expire, if a part fails, the cost of the replacement part and labor to install it will come out of your pocket.

If you purchase an extended warranty/service plan through us, most component failures will be covered! Unlike extended warranties on most electronics and other “consumer goods”, we have found that riders who use their bikes frequently and purchase these extended warranties more than recoup their initial investment. We highly recommend this program to anyone who intends to use their bike frequently, or who just wants the added assurance that an extended warranty can provide.

The warranties we sell are supported by Velocare and can be supported by a network of bike shops throughout the country. The warranty also stays with the bike when you sell it, (you’ll need to transfer the ownership and we can help with that), so this can help your bike maintain more value if you sell it within the extended warranty period.
